CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
If you like to PAINT ~ join the fun during the Suffolk Plein Air Festival QUICK DRAW! 
OPEN to Children & Adults ~ ALL Ages & Abilities!
PAINT SUFFOLK VA Saturday, September 10th, 12 - 2 PM
, during ‘Taste of Suffolk’ Downtown Street Festival.“QUICK DRAW” is a fun competition that asks Artists to complete an entire piece of Plein Air artwork quickly, within 120 minutes!
REGISTER FOR QUICK DRAW

WHO: Open to ALL Ages & Abilities
WHEN: Saturday, September 10, 2022, Noon - 2 PM
WHERE: Historic Downtown Suffolk, Virginia
HOW: Pre-register on-line, or 9/10/22 @ 11AM at the Check-in Table.
COST: $10 / person, Artists provide their own easel & painting supplies.
PRIZES: CASH PRIZE $250 Best in Show, plus Quick Draw Award Ribbons.

QUICK DRAW Time-line:
11 - 11:45 AM: Check-in at QUICK DRAW Tent, located at Bank & Main St.
12 PM - 2 PM: Painters work on their QUICK DRAW artwork within the ‘Taste of Suffolk’ event boundaries.
2:00 - 2:30 PM: Painters bring artwork to the garden area between the 
Courthouse and Harper’s Table for judging.
2:30 - 3:30 PM: Judging & Awards Winners announced, ribbons presented. Sell QUICK DRAW artwork. 

SELL YOUR ARTWORK!All participating artists who wish to sell their original piece may do so at the conclusion of the QUICK DRAW. Artists are encouraged to bring a frame suitable for the piece, & price work accordingly. The QUICK DRAW consignment fee is 20% of total sale price.

2022 Juror

Juror - James Warwick Jones 
Studied at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts with Will Barnet, Walter Stuempfig, Louis Sloan and others 1965-68, before graduating Magna Cum Laude from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Secondary Art Education in 1971. After teaching in the public schools and working 37 years at arts centers and museums, he retired as Gallery Manager at The Charles Taylor Visual Arts Center. Over the past 57 years, he has exhibited in more than 300 exhibitions and won over 150 awards. His work is in public and private collections including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
